Back on the Radar!

While yesterday served as a special afternoon in sports as Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr. were inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY it now must be pushed to the side for the moment as the Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics trade rumors have resumed, and this time they seem to be for real. Like the calm before the storm things have been pretty quiet since draft night on the player and transaction page, as opposed to the referee disrepecting the game and endangering the sport page. But with the Celtics taking a little to long to offer Al Jefferson his contract extension (he would become a restricted free agent at the end of the upcoming season) you had to think Danny Ainge had something large in the works. The trade rumor is being reported by multiple outlets. I am not going to sit here and spectulate about the other players involved besides Al Jefferson as different players are being mentioned. But I am actually having trouble thinking right now. I mean, Kevin Garnett on my Boston Celtics! With Paul Pierce and Ray Allen! Will that work? Can it work? Are we giving up to much of the "future?" Will Garnett really be happy in Boston and sign a significant extension? I love Garnett and wanted Ainge to go after him in the worst way after the debacle which was the draft lottery night on May 22 but to be honest, with all that has gone wrong with the Green and White in the last twenty years I never really thought they'd have a chance to get him. I'll be all over this for the immediate future. Hall of Fame recap to follow. Boston go get KG!!! Enjoy your Monday morning.

Come on now with your KG fantasies...

What you really need is a lefthanded southpaw...and younger, youthier player!!
